The process of transferring all the operations of the Bradford robotic telescope has begun. The website, all its data, archive systems and the robotic telescope itself are being transferred to the Open University’s OpenScience Laboratory. This should be completed mid May 2016. The telescope location will continue to be at the Observatorio del Teide on the island of Tenerife.
If you are a teacher and wish to continue working with the telescope and to have your personal records transferred all you need to do is to log in with your usual username and password and we will send you an email confirming that your data will be transferred across. You will need to reset your classes. The final deadline for this is noon BST(British Summer Time) on Friday the 13th May
If you are a pupil user of the telescope registered in a class you will need to copy and store all your data, observations and Space book, in your own secure personal location. All pupil data within Schools.telescope.org will be anonymised. The final deadline for this is noon BST(British Summer Time) on Friday the 13th May
As you may know the robotic telescope is not currently working. As soon the transfer is complete efforts will be made to get the robotic telescope functioning again as soon as possible.
Dark Skies and thank you for all your support;
